Waterfront Director
Jamie became a part of the IHC family in 2021, diving right in during the summer after the ups and downs of COVID-19. She started her journey as a Swim Specialist on the waterfront, and it wasn't long before she took on the role of Waterfront Director! Now, she’s excited to be back on Girl's Side as the Assistant Director for 2025, where she’s thrilled to embrace her role as a full-time staff member.
Born in Saudi Arabia and raised on a ranch in Washington State, she now happily lives out her Southern girl dreams in Alabama when she’s not at Camp IHC. To her, “Sweet Home Alabama” is more than just a catchy tune; it’s a way of life! You can bet she includes “y’all” in nearly every sentence, bringing a bit of Southern charm to camp.
Jamie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Birmingham-Southern College, a small liberal arts college in Birmingham, Alabama. Fun fact: she was part of the last graduating class ever, as the college sadly shut down just weeks after her graduation. During her time there, she was involved in many organizations, with highlights including founding and serving as president of Women in STEM, being a Student Government representative, participating in sorority life, and competing on the college Track and Field team.
After spending too much time indoors during the pandemic, Jamie was eager to find some exciting new experiences over her college summers. That’s when she discovered the IHC family, and she has been absolutely in love with it ever since!
