Joey has called Camp IHC home since 2007. When he began his camp career, Joey helped campers become a “Superstar” on the stage as the Theatre Director. He enjoyed watching campers grow confident throughout the years finding their hidden talents while on or off the stage.
In 2013, Joey hung up his ‘theatre robes’ and turned his attention to Program. He loved the opportunity to help shape the summer of a lifetime for each camper as Program Director. The Program of camp is no small task and Joey was proud to take on that challenge.
In 2020, Joey became a member of the Full time team. Now, at the end of the 2023 season, Joey has once again changed roles and is now the Office Manager for camp. But don’t worry, Joey will still be found dancing at Flagpole or hosting BINGO during the summer.
When Joey is not prepping for the summer, he is enjoying life in New York City where he can take in Times Square, Broadway, the culture, pursuing his new passion of running and exploring the many mysteries of the city. He knows American Sign Language and enjoys learning more about the amazing Deaf community and its history. Joey is also a HUGE fan of anything Disney related. May the magic of camp continue!!!
