Camp Director

Mark cut his teeth on the open plains and cornfields in Elgin, IL.  Okay well that sounds like I grew up a farmer but not really just another youngin from suburbia that subsequently began to expand the horizon and sunset viewing with his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois. Upon graduating he ventured east to find adventure at a camp in the Northeast, which has begun the basecamp for learning and growth. With the completion of his Masters of Science Degree at the University of Colorado he went on to teach science, at the high school level, in Colorado Springs.

Mark brings a great deal of expertise related to outdoor adventure program development and staff training. He is a certified American Red Cross First Aid, LifeGuard and CPR Trainer, ACCT Challenge Course Manager and Practitioner, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and 500hr Yoga Instructor, woo, see he neve stops learning and sharing..

Mark is training, hiring and guiding the fulltime team to create an amazing program and experience for campers and staff at IHC. Campers and staff know and love Mark for his incredible sense of humor, antics around camp and beyond and for being the impetus behind the IHC Survivor experience.
