David and Shelley Tager have owned Camp IHC since 1989.

Shelley was an elementary school classroom teacher for many years, actively developing dynamic programs and exciting curriculum. Since leaving teaching, Shelley has also taken on leadership roles in the camping community. She is the former Education Chairperson and Board Member of the New York Section of the American Camp Association. Additionally, Shelly served as an officer in the Wayne County Camp Director’s Association and also serves on the Board of Directors of a not-for-profit camp for economically disadvantaged children.

Shelley is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Special Education and a second Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Shelley and David have devoted their lives to working with children and have become second grandparents to their campers each summer.
