Boys will be boys, girls will be girls, but at camp they'll get to try all the activities that are offered—regardless of their gender.
Lake Camp at IHC offers young campers entering grades 2 through 7 a broad range of exciting experiences. While this age group does not interact in co-ed activities, all activities are offered equally to both girls and boys. Each camper participates in a balanced program of activities and instruction in athletics, arts, aquatics and outdoor adventures.
Our youngest campers are encouraged to try every activity that camp offers, while being reminded that being fair, trying your best, and having the best time with your friends is all that matters. The adjustment of our first-year campers is carefully monitored by a specially trained, mature staff, in order to ensure success. The ratio of campers to counselors ensures that each youngster receives plenty of individual attention and personalized instruction.
As campers get older, the elective portion of the program increases— meaning campers get the chance to spend more time focusing on their favorite activities.
